The Coromandel region is slightly off the beaten track, although it is only 2 to 3 hours drive from Auckland. The region has some of New Zealand’s most attractive coastline, with some gorgeous beaches, dramatic rain forest and plenty of lovely walks.
This area does not feature on many New Zealand golf holiday itineraries, probably due to the fact that there are none of the “big named” courses in the region. However, it does have two good resort style courses and a handful of reasonable club courses.
