The Marlborough and Nelson regions are located at the top of the South Island and are amongst the sunniest places in New Zealand.

The Abel Tasman National Park and Queen Charlotte Sound provide a great destination for water activities, walking and visiting the attractive coastline.

This area is New Zealand’s largest wine-producing area and is particularly recognised for its Sauvignon Blancs.

With regards golf, none of the featured high ranking courses are located in this region although there are several good local courses worth playing.
